IO Genix

IO Genix is the Spanish brand of which we stock the most comprehensive range: proteins, creatines, training carbohydrates, vitamins, and wellness supplements. Its appeal lies in the relationship between what's in the tub and its cost. A good starting point if you want to equip your entire routine without using multiple brands.

Who is IO Genix?

IO Genix (written as iO.GENIX on labels) is a Spanish sports nutrition brand, produced by the company Ayolabs S.L. It is distributed from Spain, where it is available at both specialized retailers and large generalist platforms, and its official store is Spanish-speaking. In France, it is mainly distributed by specialized resellers like us.

Its positioning is that of a generalist and comprehensive brand: rather than focusing its efforts on two or three best-sellers, IO Genix covers the entire range, from powdered protein to joint comfort capsules, including training carbohydrates, vitamins, and diet groceries. Its catalog is structured into distinct lines — Professional, Luxury, Delicious, Vegan — with the Luxury line featuring formulas made with patented raw materials.

This breadth explains its presence with us: IO Genix is the most extensive range in our brand catalog, and a customer can build their entire supplementation without switching brands.

How good is the IO Genix range?

The brand is strong where it uses identified raw materials. Some of its formulas feature licensed ingredients, named on the label: Creapure® for high-end creatine, Kyowa Quality® for several amino acids, Lactomin® for concentrated whey, Pronativ for native isolate, Albion® for magnesium bisglycinate, KSM-66 for ashwagandha. For these products, the raw material supplier is explicitly stated, which is still rare at this price point.

The categories it handles well are powdered proteins, creatines, training carbohydrates, and capsule micronutrition: a core range catalog, designed for year-round consumption.

The categories it handles less well are those of spectacle: the brand has almost no classic stimulating powdered pre-workout — we only stock one energy shot and a stimulant-free version — and its ready-to-eat snack offering is limited to a few items, where other brands have a real range of bars. If you're looking for a highly caffeinated booster, you'll have to look elsewhere in our boosters.

What are the flagship IO Genix products we sell?

Proteins

  • Whey 80 Professional — the brand's benchmark concentrated whey, based on Lactomin® with an 8.1.1 BCAA ratio. This is the logical entry product into the range.
  • Isolate Professional and ISOLUXE CFM — two whey isolates obtained by microfiltration, ISOLUXE made with grass-fed raw material. Low in lactose, ideal if classic shakers upset your stomach.
  • IsoZero Native — a Pronativ native whey isolate, extracted directly from milk and not from cheese whey, advertised at 92% protein.
  • Iso Clear — the clear whey version, to be drunk like a fruity beverage rather than a milky shake.
  • Casein and Casein Cream — two Fonterra-based micellar caseins, slow-digesting, the second textured with crunchy toppings.
  • Protein Mass — the range's gainer, for those who don't meet their calorie needs through food.

Carbohydrates and Groceries

Rice cream and oat flour — the latter available in flavored and unflavored versions — form the daily carbohydrate base. For workouts, the brand offers cyclic dextrin and waxy maize. In terms of groceries, there's an additive-free peanut butter, a protein pancake, and a protein donut.

Creatine and Amino Acids

Three creatine formats coexist: classic Creatine Monohydrate, Crealuxe with Creapure®, and Luxury 3K with buffered Kre-Alkalyn, plus a tablet version for travelers. For amino acids, the brand covers EAAs with MAP EAA Kyowa Quality®, BCAA 8.1.1, glutamine and arginine also from Kyowa, citrulline malate, beta-alanine, HMB, and tyrosine.

Vitamins, Minerals, and Comfort

This is the most comprehensive part of the catalog. It includes micronutrition basics — multivitamins, vitamin C, D3/K2, B vitamin complex, magnesium in citrate or Albion® bisglycinate, zinc bisglycinate, two ZMA versions, and omega 3 at two concentration levels. Joint comfort is covered by two collagens with Fortigel and VERISOL peptides, and by a glucosamine-chondroitin-MSM complex. Digestive comfort is covered by multi-strain probiotics and a DigeZyme® enzyme complex. Additionally, there are isolated plants and active ingredients: ashwagandha KSM-66, turmeric, NAC, berberine, shilajit, maca, tribulus, and melatonin. Finally, the slimming section includes several fat burners, including a multi-active thermogenic, two L-carnitines, and caffeine in capsules.

Our Reseller Opinion

What works. The content-to-price ratio is the real argument: for proteins and creatines, IO Genix is positioned below German and American brands with comparable raw material quality, with clear labeling and detailed dosages, without "proprietary blends" that mask quantities. The consistency of the range is another asset: getting your whey, rice cream, magnesium, and omega 3 from the same manufacturer avoids dosage overlaps.

The main limitation, and it's real: the quality is not uniform throughout the catalog. IO Genix covers a huge number of references, and not all receive the same care. Products with a patented raw material — Creapure®, Kyowa, Albion®, Lactomin®, KSM-66 — are excellent and clearly state it. The rest, especially some of the plant capsules and "complex" multi-active formulas, are standard formulations sold at a premium brand price. For these items, you pay for the name as much as the content, and a single-ingredient product from another brand is sometimes cheaper for the same active ingredient. Our advice: always read the label and check if the raw material is named. When it is, the price is justified. When it isn't, compare.

Two other caveats. The flavor selection is more limited than brands whose core business is flavor: decent, but less spectacular. And the absence of a real stimulating powdered pre-workout leaves a gap in the range, which must be filled with another brand.

IO Genix or Sinob?

These are our two deepest ranges, and the question often comes up at the counter. Sinob is German and emphasizes maximum transparency and generous dosages, with more specialized formulas but a more focused catalog. IO Genix covers a much wider range and generally costs less per kilo for proteins.

In practice: if you want to centralize all your supplementation with a single brand and manage your budget, choose IO Genix. If you're looking for the most refined formula for a specific product and price is secondary, choose Sinob. If your main criterion is taste, look instead at ESN Nutrition, which is recognized for its strength in this area — at the cost of a higher price per kilo.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is IO Genix a good brand?

Yes, within its niche. It is a good value-for-money everyday brand, not an ultra-dosed niche brand. Its best products are those that feature a licensed raw material. Its less good products are the complex capsule formulas, which are decent but offer no particular advantage over the competition.

Which IO Genix whey to choose: Whey 80, Isolate Professional or IsoZero Native?

Three profiles, three uses. Whey 80 Professional is a concentrated whey based on Lactomin®: it offers the best protein-to-price ratio in the range and is the default choice if you digest lactose normally. Isolate Professional and ISOLUXE CFM are microfiltered isolates, lower in lactose and lipids: preferred if the shaker upsets your stomach or if you are tracking every calorie during cutting, with ISOLUXE adding a grass-fed raw material. IsoZero Native is a Pronativ native whey isolate, extracted directly from milk and not from cheese whey, advertised at 92% protein: it is the high-end, more expensive option, whose advantage lies in the gentler extraction process. If you are a beginner, choose Whey 80; only switch to an isolate if you have a specific reason to do so.

What is the IO Genix Luxury line?

This is the line that brings together formulas based on patented raw materials and named on the label: Crealuxe with Creapure®, Luxury 3K with Kre-Alkalyn, ISOLUXE grass-fed, Albion® magnesium, KSM-66 ashwagandha, Kyowa Quality® amino acids. The difference with the Professional line is not cosmetic: for these products, you know who produced the active ingredient and by what process, which is verifiable. It is also the most expensive line, and the supplement is only justified if the patented raw material is truly important to you — for monohydrate creatine, for example, a standard quality version does the same job for less money.

How good are IO Genix BCAA and EAA?

The BCAA 8.1.1 has a very high leucine ratio, the amino acid that triggers protein synthesis. The MAP EAA are based on Kyowa Quality® amino acids, produced by fermentation, and cover all nine essential amino acids. Our opinion, which applies to all brands: if your daily protein intake is adequate, neither of these offers much more than a dose of whey, which already contains all these amino acids and costs less per gram. EAAs remain genuinely useful in two cases: fasted training, and long sessions where you want to drink something light. Between the two, prefer EAAs to BCAAs: the profile is complete.

How good is IO Genix oat flour (Oatmeal)?

It is one of the most useful references in the range, and one of the least spectacular. Finely ground oats, available in plain and flavored versions. The plain version is what we recommend if you are cooking — pancakes, porridge, cake batter — since you control the flavor. The flavored versions can be drunk directly from a shaker and avoid preparation in the morning. Fundamentally, the nutritional value is that of oats: approximately 370 kcal and 60g of carbohydrates per 100g, with soluble fiber. You pay for the fine milling and solubility, not an exotic ingredient.

How good is the IO Genix gainer (Protein Mass)?

It's a classic gainer, with a high carbohydrate-to-protein ratio, designed for those who struggle to eat enough. The criterion to check before buying is always the same: divide carbohydrates by proteins on the 100g table, and compare to the price per kilo. Our honest remark, valid for all gainers: a homemade mix — oat flour, whey, and a little oil — is cheaper for equal calories and provides a higher protein ratio. Industrial gainers win on solubility and portability, which is significant when the shake is consumed in the car. Details are on our hard gainer page.

Where does IO Genix come from? Is the brand Spanish?

Yes, IO Genix is a Spanish brand, published by the company Ayolabs S.L. It is widely distributed in Spain and is entering France through specialized resellers.

How can I be sure to buy an authentic IO Genix product?

Go through a declared reseller. The usual warning signs of marketplaces apply here: prices significantly below market, labeling in a single foreign language without French mention, short expiry date, seller without a physical address. We source through the official channel and have the products in stock.

Are IO Genix products suitable for tested athletes?

No dietary supplement can be considered risk-free by default. If you are subject to anti-doping controls, do not rely on a brand's reputation: verify batch by batch with the manufacturer and refer to the AFLD list of banned substances. We do not claim any third-party anti-doping certification for this range.

Which IO Genix product to start with?

Whey 80 Professional if you are simply looking to increase your protein intake, or one of the isolates if you have trouble digesting lactose. Add creatine monohydrate, which is the most well-documented supplement in the entire category. The rest is decided based on your diet, not a ready-made routine.

Are IO Genix flavors too sweet?

They are average for the market, sweetened without excess. Neutral versions exist for oat flour and several powders, which is useful if you incorporate them into a recipe. We often have tasting sachets in store: tasting before buying a multi-kilogram tub avoids unpleasant surprises.

Where to buy IO Genix in France?

The brand is not distributed in supermarkets in France. It can be found at specialized sports nutrition retailers, online and in stores. We stock it in store and ship throughout France.

Can an IO Genix supplement replace a meal?

No. Powdered protein is a supplemental intake, not a substitute for a balanced meal, and no product in the range is designed for that. If you have a weight loss goal or a medical condition, speak to your doctor or a dietitian before changing your diet.

Where to buy IO Genix near Montpellier?

The IO Genix range is displayed in our Vendargues store, about ten minutes from Montpellier, at 285 rue des Portes Domitiennes. For such a broad brand, seeing the pots side by side and asking a couple of questions at the counter avoids buying three products when one would suffice.

If you can't visit, the range can be ordered online and we ship throughout France. The brand also offers its own sports bottle, practical for long sessions.

Dietary supplements are part of a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. They are not a substitute for medical advice.

Trois profils, trois usages.
