Sports nutrition store near me

Our store is located at 285 rue des Portes Domitiennes, in Vendargues (34740), along the RN 113, and it is our only physical point of sale. It is open six days a week, from 10 am to 7 pm non-stop: allow a fifteen-minute drive from Montpellier, less than ten minutes from Castelnau-le-Lez or Le Crès, about twenty minutes from Lunel, and a little less than forty-five minutes from Nîmes.

If you are reading these lines on a weekday or a Saturday between 10 am and 7 pm, the store is open and the phone number 09 52 47 66 02 will be answered. Sunday is the only closing day; the website, however, continuously processes orders.

Are we open right now?

Day Hours
Monday 10 am – 7 pm non-stop
Tuesday 10 am – 7 pm non-stop
Wednesday 10 am – 7 pm non-stop
Thursday 10 am – 7 pm non-stop
Friday 10 am – 7 pm non-stop
Saturday 10 am – 7 pm non-stop
Sunday Closed

Two points deserve to be highlighted, because they often determine the trip. The first: no weekly closing at the beginning of the week, Monday is a full opening day. The second: no midday break. Between 12 pm and 2 pm, the door remains open and the counter is staffed, which makes a round trip possible on a lunch break from almost anywhere in the basin.

What can you do today?

Three paths, depending on the time you have.

Come directly. What is in stock leaves with you immediately, without prior action. This is the best option when you are still unsure and want to see the products.

Order online, then pick up in store. Select pickup in Vendargues when checking out: the bag will be ready within a maximum of two hours during opening hours. This service is free and requires no minimum purchase. This is the preferred method when you are looking for a specific item and don't want to make the trip for nothing.

Have your order shipped. Shipping covers France and Europe; if placed before 2 pm, an order leaves the store the same day. Carriers, methods, and delivery times are listed on the delivery page. A nuance we want to make clear: leaving the same day does not mean arriving the next day, the last mile is not ours.

How many minutes away are we?

Vendargues borders the east of the urban area, on the RN 113 axis, with the motorway exit three minutes from the door. The basin can then be read in three circles. The first is less than ten minutes away: Le Crès and Baillargues are adjacent to Vendargues, Castelnau-le-Lez is reached by the single road to Nîmes. The second, between ten and twenty-five minutes, covers Mauguio and Carnon, Montpellier, Lattes and Pérols, Lunel and La Grande-Motte: these are the communes where two-hour pickup is still faster than any carrier. The third is beyond half an hour and changes the logic — from Nîmes, Sète or Alès, the trip is only justified for a significant restock or for a question that requires a counter, and shipping takes care of the rest.

A fourth circle has since formed, and it is solely due to delivery: we ship daily to the west of Hérault and the Gard coastline. Frontignan and the Thau basin, Pézenas, Béziers, Agde and Cap d'Agde and, on the Gard side, Le Grau-du-Roi and Aigues-Mortes each have their own page, with the delivery times and rates for their sector. Over these distances, travel is only justified when coupled with an in-store pickup order.

Here are the commonly observed travel times, excluding rush hour.

Starting municipality Car journey
Vendargues on site
Le Crès less than 5 minutes
Baillargues 4 to 6 minutes
Castelnau-le-Lez 8 to 12 minutes
Mauguio 10 to 12 minutes
Montpellier 12 to 18 minutes
Lattes and Pérols about 20 minutes
Lunel 18 to 22 minutes
La Grande-Motte 20 to 25 minutes
Nîmes 35 to 45 minutes
Sète 40 to 50 minutes
Alès 1 hr to 1 hr 15 min
Frontignan 35 to 40 minutes
Le Grau-du-Roi 35 to 45 minutes
Pézenas 45 to 55 minutes
Béziers 50 to 60 minutes
Agde and Cap d'Agde 55 to 65 minutes

Intermediate municipalities fall naturally into this table. Saint-Aunès, Saint-Brès, Mudaison and Valergues are within the Baillargues range; Castries, Teyran and Jacou within that of Le Crès; Clapiers and Montferrier-sur-Lez within that of Castelnau. From Carnon, you go up by the D62 then the D24, which adds a few minutes to the Mauguio journey.

How to recognize a good sports nutrition store?

The question arises as soon as you have two or three possible addresses within driving distance. Four criteria can be checked on site, in a few minutes, without knowing anything about the subject.

Depth in each family, rather than the length of the list. A well-stocked shelf will line up a concentrated whey, an isolate, a clear whey and a casein side by side: these four are not for the same budget, the same time of day, or the same digestive comfort. The reasoning also applies to creatine monohydrate and the Creapure® label.

What is printed on the back of the tub. The percentage displayed largely on the front is calculated on dry matter and poorly indicates the actual content of the shaker. The useful operation is a division: grams of protein announced per serving, divided by the weight of that serving. A good store lets you turn over two tubs and do the math in front of them.

The ability to advise against. This is the most telling and quickest criterion to test: ask an open question and observe if you are systematically sold something. A booster heavily dosed with caffeine taken in the late afternoon often costs a night's sleep; for a late workout, a caffeine-free formula is simply the appropriate product.

Immediate availability. A local store is only useful if the product is physically there. An address that places an order for you and calls you back in eight days does not provide the service you came for.

What's on the shelves?

Two ranges complete this set and are rarely found elsewhere in the department: IO Genix and Sinob, for which we are the distributor for Hérault. The entire catalog can be browsed under the sports nutrition section.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where to buy whey in store in the Montpellier area?

In Vendargues, at our store: it is the most accessible specialized point of sale for the entire east of the urban area, with several whey families present on the shelf at the same time.

Where to buy proteins without waiting for a package?

By coming to the counter, or by ordering on the website with in-store pickup in Vendargues. In both cases, the product is in your hands the same day.

How to choose your protein when starting out?

A concentrated whey covers the vast majority of needs, for a significantly lower price per kilo. Isolate is justified mainly in case of digestive discomfort related to lactose, or when seeking a very pure intake. Start with the first; only change if discomfort appears.

Is there a ready-made kit to get started?

Yes. The beginner pack includes a protein, a creatine, and a multivitamin, with a choice of flavors and a bundled price. Other objectives have their own: mass gain, cutting, joints and recovery.

Do I need to order in advance to come?

It's not mandatory. Online ordering only serves to guarantee that a given reference awaits you at the counter.

How much does in-store pickup cost?

Nothing, and no minimum amount. Just come during the hours indicated above.

Is there parking?

Yes: free parking right in front of the entrance, and step-free access.

Do you have other locations besides Vendargues?

No. Vendargues is our only store; everywhere else, the order is shipped.
